For my purposes (weighing food in my kitchen), the higher resolution was not very relevant. If anything, I found the extra digit of precision a little bit too much information for my purpose in the kitchen, but not a problem either. What was not so good was that the Escali Pico PR500S has a weight limit of 0.5 kg, as opposed to the 5.0 kg of the N115S, and this was a game breaker: By the time you put a dish or bowl on the PR500S, and then add some food item, it's easy to go over the limit. And if you go over the 0.5 kg limit, the scale does not give you a value, and furthermore it could get damaged.
